A beautiful example of early Danish furniture design, this vintage lounge chair dates from the 1940s and was designed by Alfred Christensen for Slagelse Møbelfabrik.

The chair has a solid beechwood frame and coil-sprung seat, giving it the proportions, comfort and construction associated with high-quality Danish furniture of the period.

It has been fully restored and traditionally reupholstered by Swaethe Furniture, using natural upholstery materials including natural coir, natural latex and wool.

The chair is upholstered in Bute Storr in Caramel, a premium British wool upholstery fabric made from 97% pure new wool and 3% nylon.
